NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon 2025

I’m supporting To Write Love on Her Arms.
Hi, my name is Yolanda. Living with bipolar disorder II and borderline personality disorder has made everyday life a challenge, and depression has been a constant struggle alongside both. When I first started running, I didn’t think I could do it. But over time, running has become a way for me to cope with my depression, giving me a space to let go, be free, and find some peace.
I’m now raising money for To Write Love on Her Arms, a nonprofit movement dedicated to presenting hope and helping those struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. This cause is very close to my heart, and this run is for anyone who has ever felt like they can’t go on, or thought they’d be better off not being here.
I understand, I care, and this is for you.
