I’m supporting Brooklyn Defender Services.

I'm running with my colleagues at BDS to raise money for our noncitizen clients, many of whom are detained and fighting their deportation. The money donated will go to our Client Essentials funds which we use to purchase things like thermals and commissary funds for our detained clients. For our clients who are released/living in the community, the fund pays for essentials like cell phones, transport back to NYC (because ICE sends many far from their homes), groceries, among other items.
