NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon 2026

Hello!

I am excited and proud to be running the Brooklyn Half Marathon again this year in support of Brooklyn Defender Services (BDS), where I have the privilege of working as an attorney in the Immigration and Employment practices.

I am running this race to raise money for BDS's Critical Items fund, which provides our clients with essential resources like phones, transportation, clothing, and assistance paying immigration fees. 

I cannot tell you how vital this fund is for our clients, especially now as they face astronomical immigration fees in the wake of new reforms. Our legal advocacy only really matters when our clients' concrete needs are met. Your donation will go directly to supporting and meeting those needs.

My goal is to raise $1,000 (which is, sadly, less than the cost of 2 work permit renewals, and less than the cost of a single filing to reopen a client's case after they have been ordered removed). Please donate what you can, or share with others. And let me know if you'll be running or cheering!
