CAMBA is one of the city’s largest and most trusted social service organizations, helping over 65,000 people a year with over 160 programs which improve the lives of a diverse cross section of New Yorkers. CAMBA helps to feed the hungry, prevent homelessness, build more affordable and supportive housing, and through our college access programs, give low-income youth a solid foundation for their future.
We remain focused on preventing homelessness with CAMBA’s HomeBase program, which has traditionally kept 95% of families at high risk of homelessness in their homes and out of the shelter system. We emphasize building economic stability by offering a variety of targeted services and resources, including adult literacy classes, and job readiness and placement services.
Your support helps transform lives and together we can build a better and brighter future for our communities.
For example:
$100 provides food for a hungry family for a week.
$250 provides textbooks for a class of immigrants to learn English and access jobs.
$500 supports college prep classes for low-income youth.
$1000 helps provide legal services for families at risk of eviction and homelessness.
