How to log runs, walks, & rides

Once you’ve logged into Run This One, the Dashboard is the hub of all your activity on the site. Among other things, you will find a tile for each active event you are registered for. These tiles include a ton of activity relating to your progress, but the first button you want to click is “Record Progress.”

Once you click that button, you will then have a choice, of using Garmin Connect, the MapMyRun app, and logging activities manually.

If you have a Garmin, you probably already have the Garmin Connect app on your phone. If not, you’re going to want to download that from your favorite app store. Once you do, you just need to take a few steps to connect your account to the Run This One event.

If you don’t have a Garmin, we recommend MapMyRun, which you can also download (for free!) from your favorite app store. Once you do, you just need to take a few steps to connect your MapMyRun account to the Run This One event.

Once you’ve connected your Garmin or MapMyRun account, new activities will sync on an ongoing basis. Just login to Run This One, hit record progress and add each activity.

If you prefer a simpler approach or use an app we don’t yet support, logging manually is your best bet. You can keep track of your miles however you want and add them when you are ready.

If you make a mistake and want to edit it, or want to delete an activity, click on “My Progress” in the event tile. Then click on “Daily Stats” and then on the edit button that is part of each entry. From here you can edit or delete as needed.

Last, but not least, if you have any issues whatsoever, please email cs@nycruns.com and we’ll be happy to help you.
