I am running the Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon to raise money to support Brooklyn Defender Services' (BDS) Critical Items Fund and systemic advocacy efforts.

I have personally used BDS' Critical Items Fund several times for my clients -- whether to help a client pay the exorbitant fees for an immigration application, facilitate their transportation to a meeting or court appearance, or assist them in getting winter coats, toiletries, and other basic necessities.
