Liz and I are running the Brooklyn Half to raise money for Brooklyn Defender Services' Critical Items Fund!

In the Family Defense Practice at BDS, we strive to keep children at home with their natural families, lessening traumatic removals from their homes and avoiding placements with strangers in group homes and foster care.

Your donation will give BDS clients direct material support by providing them with cell phones, transportation, clothing, and other essentials. This type of support makes a HUGE impact on the daily lives of my clients and improves their legal outcomes by increasing accessibility to legal services and participation in their legal defense.
