NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon 2025

I’m supporting Project ALS.
As you may have heard, my Uncle Tom was diagnosed with ALS this past fall. He always loved cooking up elaborate, delicious Christmas dinners and I have fond memories of our polar plunges in Quogue.
ALS is a disease that affects one’s motor neurons and robs one of their ability to move, speak, and eventually breathe. Unlike cancer, where most patients have treatment options, there is no cure or approved treatment for ALS.
My uncle’s fight has been both courageous and heartbreaking. I am running the Brooklyn Half Marathon on April 27th for Project ALS with my cousins (his kids) Chace and Grant in his honor. Project ALS is a non-profit organization dedicated to funding cutting-edge ALS research in hopes of discovering an effective treatment or cure.
For the half marathon, my goal is to raise at least $1,000 for Project ALS and I would really appreciate a donation to help fund such critical research. Please be as generous as possible, it is much appreciated!
Thank you,
Anya
