NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon 2026

The 52nd Street Project is one of the most important parts of my life as a an artist in New York! The work that they do has inspired me so much over the years. Every time I do a show at the Project, and meet any of its amazing members, bring the words of a talented kid to life, collaborate with other amazing actors, sing a song, or sit in the audience to cheer others on, I count myself incredibly lucky. So many kids in the Hell's Kitchen community have been nurtured, encouraged, bolstered and lifted up by the loving care, safe space, and creative laboratory that is offered at 52nd Street Project. Watching so many kids come through the program over the years has been such a privilege. Getting to bring the vision and words and songs and ideas of Project members to life is an HONOR and a JOY every single time!! And some of my absolute favorite pieces of theater EVER have come out of the Project, a direct result of the generous collaboration between the kids and the volunteers and the staff. This organization is essential to our community, and getting to run on its behalf is a true honor.
