NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon 2026
I’m supporting International Sports and Music Project.
Hi everyone, I’m running the NYRuns Brooklyn Half Marathon on April 26th to benefit a nonprofit I really believe in, the International Sports and Music Project (ISMP).
I've known the Founder (Jason Steinberg) since my teenage years. He's always been someone who I look up to and has shown me the importance of kindness, empathy, leadership and purpose. I really respect him and this initiative he's built out over the past 10+ years.
As someone who understands the power that music and sports can bring to our lives, I can see how they can serve as vehicles for individual growth, community development and overall helping humanity!
ISMP brings sports and music programs to kids in underserved communities – from the Bronx to communities abroad – creating healing and joy in countless ways:
● Building safe places to play such as basketball courts and music centers
● Hiring great coaches and teachers
● Providing essential gear like basketballs, soccer balls, and instruments
My fundraising goal of [$1K] will:
● Put equipment directly into kids’ hands
● Support local leaders who run weekly sports and music sessions
● Keep programs going in communities that need them most
