NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon 2026

I’m excited to share that I’ll be running the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon on April 26th, 2026 on behalf of KoreanK9 Rescue, an organization that has become incredibly meaningful in my life.

I began volunteering with KoreanK9 Rescue in January 2023, and from day one I’ve been in awe of the life-changing work they do, their dedication to the animals, and their desire to continue finding safe, loving homes for these dogs. In February of 2024, I adopted my KoreanK9 pup, Thunder— I am simply obsessed with him and do everything in this life for him! 

This organization and their mission have ignited one of my now greatest passions: animal welfare and rescue advocacy. 

I am also running this race in honor of Samantha Jacoff, who was an inspiration to me within the KoreanK9 community and instrumental in my decision to foster and adopt. From April 2022 until her passing, Sam devoted herself to KoreanK9 Rescue as the organization’s adoption coordinator. In her memory, I’m raising funds for the organization she cared for so deeply and celebrating her life and her legacy. 

This fundraiser will directly support KoreanK9 Rescue’s mission to help homeless, at-risk, and mistreated dogs in South Korea and here in NYC, placing them into loving forever families. To date, the rescue has placed over 3,500 dogs in adoptive homes throughout the tri-state area—and with your help, that number will continue to grow.
