NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon 2026

In 2026, I will be running the NYC Brooklyn Half Marathon in honor of my beloved niece, Gabby Zeppieri, who is bravely battling a rare genetic illness called NLSD-M. Patients with NLSD-M suffer from slowly but irreversible and progressive disabling symptoms, and currently no effective therapy is available. Despite these challenges, Gabby refuses to let this ultra-rare disease define her—she faces each day with strength, determination, and her infectious smile that lights up every room. Gabby’s resilience inspires me every day, and every mile I run will be for her and for all families affected by this rare disease.
