NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon 2026
I’m supporting The 52nd Street Project.
It has been an honor to volunteer with The 52nd Street Project since 2018! This incredible community-based non-profit arts organization brings together kids from Hell's Kitchen in Manhattan (ages 9 through late teens) and partners them with theater professionals to create original theater that is then offered for free to the general public. It is a place that fosters a sense of inclusion and belonging for children where they can be exposed to diverse art forms. I have personally witnessed project members improve their literacy, life skills and attitudes towards learning which they take with them for years to come.
I've also been fortunate to be partnered with incredible young people who have inspired me with their original pieces (poetry, dance, songwriting, visual art) that they've created. It's a gift to work alongside them in both a collaborative and mentorship role to bring to life magical works of art. This is why I run for and with them.
