NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon 2026

I’m running the Brooklyn Half Marathon on April 26th, 2026, for Gabby’s Wonderful World! 

Gabby has a genetically confirmed diagnosis of Neutral Lipid Storage Disease with Myopathy (NLSD-M)—an ultra-rare condition that gradually limits mobility and independence, which is heartbreaking. Though I’ve never met Gabby in person, I feel connected to her through osmosis, and I’m deeply inspired by her strength, resilience, and the hope she brings to everyone around her.

It is an incredible honor and privilege to run this race for Gabby, and for families living with rare diseases. My childhood best friend Camille, who has long supported this cause, gave me the nudge to take on this challenge, reminding me that even small steps can make a real difference. Every donation—big or small—helps fund research, raise awareness, and bring hope to those facing unimaginable challenges.

I’m dedicating this race to Gabby and to anyone who feels limited by disease, sickness, or life itself. Thank you for supporting this cause and helping turn hope into action!
