NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon 2026
I’m supporting Exodus Transitional Community.
Running has become my newfound passion and continues to be one of the most challenging things I’ve chosen to do. It forces me to mentally break away from whatever is causing me trouble and focus on what’s directly in front of me, the miles ahead, giving me space to reset and emotionally clear my thoughts. Running for Exodus Transitional Community is especially meaningful to me as someone coming from a public health background. I understand how housing stability, employment, and community support can shape long-term health outcomes. Running for Exodus gives me the opportunity to be a voice for those who may not always have one during times of extreme need. Exodus Transitional Community is an incredibly powerful organization that provides critical resources to formerly incarcerated individuals in Harlem, helping them successfully reenter society with dignity and opportunity. I’m extremely proud and excited to run in support of an organization that believes in second chances and invests in stronger, healthier communities!
