Being part of Legal Action Center means standing alongside people who are too often shut out of opportunity because of stigma tied to a conviction history, substance use disorder, or HIV/AIDS status. Every day, I see how advocacy, legal support, and policy change can open doors that once felt permanently closed.

I’m taking part in this race to lift up that work and the communities it serves. Access to housing, employment, health care, and education shouldn’t be privileges — they should be realities everyone can count on.
