I’m supporting St. Francis Friends of the Poor.

Hi everyone!

On April 26, we’re running the Brooklyn Half Marathon! We’re Erin and Abby, ER nurses at MSK in NYC and best friends. For the sake of our friendship, we decided to create one joint fundraising page to avoid any unfriendly competition between having two separate pages. 

 

As nurses, we see every day how real and widespread mental health challenges are. We’ve learned firsthand that no one is immune; mental health struggles affect our patients, our families, our friends, and our entire community.

 

That’s why we are honored to run in support of St. Francis Friends of the Poor. This incredible organization provides housing, meals, and psychiatric support to homeless individuals in Manhattan living with mental illness.

 

We are putting in the miles to turn our energy into something bigger than ourselves. We would be so grateful for your support in helping us reach our goal of raising $2,000 and to make every step count toward real impact. 

 

Also, you can trust your donation will be worthwhile, as we've already accomplished finishing the Charleston Half Marathon together (see image to the right). Secondly, if one of us falls or something and can’t finish, the other will see it through.
