NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon 2026
I’m supporting The 52nd Street Project.
During his 74 all too brief years earthside, my father, Bill Perkins, ran 39 races across the NYC Runs programs. This April 18th would’ve been his 77th birthday. In celebration thereof, I am honoring his legacy as a runner, and as a fierce public servant, who worked tirelessly for the most vulnerable within our society, including wonderful young students like those we serve at The 52nd Street Project!
I've been a volunteer at The 52nd Street Project for over a decade, and in 2021 I began serving on its Board. I love helping these young minds develop their unique voice, relish in their individuality and glee, and build invaluable interpersonal skills that they'll eventually carry into adulthood. I always feel I gain more from my time with the young people than they gain from me!
This will also be my *first time* running anything beyond a 5K! Wish me luck☘️
