NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon 2026

For the past few years, my "fairy godparents" J and C have been battling highly aggressive cancers. As their battles intensify, I'm running this half-marathon in their honor and in support of Red Door's mission: to build a future where no one faces cancer alone. Both J and C have had an outsized role in my life: they have been lifelong friends, confidantes, and supporters. In my youth, I relished in my time with them as moments of great warmth and companionship. They were always the first ones to back me in whatever crazy ideas I had as a twelve-year-old: writing a book, launching a humanitarian initiative, attending boarding school, or racing in a triathlon. Having done three of those four, this half-marathon represents but one small step towards completing the fourth. With boundless gratitude for the passion, purpose, and generosity they have nurtured in me, and for the vital work that Red Door Community does, join me in chipping in!
