NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon 2026

The 52nd Street Project has changed my life since 2018 when I first started as an actor in one of their youth-written showcases called "Playmaking." I was able to help bring a brilliant young person's world to life and to act opposite one of my favorite actors and to see the the young playwright's satisfaction in seeing their play realized in front of an audience of family members and friends who celebrated them feverishly. Since then, I have been part of this organization's SmartPartner program which can be loosely compared to Big Sister/Big Brother mentorship where a young Project member and a not-as-young professional artist meet weekly to bake, read, grow, draw, do homework, create, remember, cycle, or any of a long list of bonding activities over years! My first stint with this started in 2018 and ended last year and I've already begun a new round with a brilliant young soul. The 52nd Street Project is near to my heart, dear to the community of Hell's Kitchen where it's housed, and the MOST WORTHWHILE CAUSE TO RUN 13.1 MILES IN HONOR OF!!!
