NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon 2026

After swearing off running after last year's half marathon I have decided I wasn't quite ready to hang up the sneakers just yet. Last year's run and overall experience was one for the books and it was so fulfilling to know that we had helped the BK shelters raise a little over 40k! Certainly if Sam couldn't wrap her head around us running in honor of her legacy she would appreciate that fact! We are back for a second year to literally give last year's amount a run for its money... 

It gives me comfort to know that with everyone's support we are able to provide for the BK shelters. Providing care for dogs in need was Sam's passion. It feels like the least I can do to try and continue the change she brought to these animals' lives. I miss her everyday but I know (even though I complain every single run) that running this race in honor of Sam brings me closer to her.
