NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon
I’m supporting The Anne Kastor Brooklyn Free Clinic.
Hi guys!
This year I'm running the Brooklyn Half Marathon on behalf of the Brooklyn Free Clinic (BFC), which provides medical care to the uninsured in East Flatbush. Going to SUNY Downstate, I've personally worked shifts and seen patients at the BFC, and I can tell you that the clinic has made a palpable difference in lives of many of the patients that come. As such, I'm well acquainted with much of the leadership and can tell you it's a worthy cause that will put your donations back into the community in a way that will continue to and improve the difference they make.
If that's not enough to sell you on it: Every dollar you donate will push me to train harder and take care of myself (exercise) as I prepare for my board exams.
However, I'm aware that several of the friends I'll be reaching out to have less desire for my wellbeing, and more for my suffering. So, I've added below some incentives stratified based on donation amount:
$25: A personal thank you note from Albert with his favorite memory of you
$60: A poem written by Albert (do not expect quality work)
$100: A home cooked meal with Albert, by Albert
+ every $25 additional includes an additional meal, may be enjoyed in a group setting (ex: $150 = 3 people come for the meal)
Thank you for your consideration,
Albert
