Hi!

I'm an MD/PhD student at SUNY Downstate. This year I will be participating in the NYCRUN's Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon representing the Brooklyn Free Clinic (BFC). The BFC is a student-led clinic that provides free healthcare to uninsured people. I have had many opportunities to contribute to the BFC as a medical student and they have been the most rewarding experiences I have had thus far.

The BFC was started in 2006 by students in recognition of our responsibility to care for every member of our community. Too frequently healthcare costs worsen the lives of the most vulnerable people in our society and prevent them from seeking the care they need. Although these issues require much more coordinated effort to remedy, the BFC is one way students at SUNY Downstate fight the tide of healthcare inequity.

My goal is to raise $1000 for the BFC by April 2027. Your charity will go towards one of the best causes I have had the privilege to support.
