Scheduled for April 23rd 2023, thousands of runners will complete a remarkable running journey at the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon.
The iconic route starts in hip North Brooklyn and winds around the waterfront taking you under the historic Williamsburg, Manhattan, and Brooklyn Bridges while delivering eye popping views of Manhattan.
From there, the route heads up the historic concourses of Fulton Street & Flatbush Avenue before passing through Grand Army Plaza and into fabled brownstone Brooklyn before finishing in Prospect Park.
From its humble beginning in Prospect Park to one of the largest road races in the country - it’s a story as timeless as Brooklyn itself!
For 2023 and 2024, we will not be offering the marathon as an option. The decision to make this year’s race a half marathon alone was not an easy one but was primarily driven by the options we have available for the course. The marathon course we presented in 2022 was not up to the standards of NYCRUNS and we would much rather offer an outstanding half marathon, while we work towards a marathon course that meets everyone’s expectations.
The USATF Certified course will be electronically timed using the MYLAPS Bibtag system. There will be timing (split) points and clocks throughout the course. Water, Lemon Lime Nuun Endurance, and restrooms will be available approximately every 1.5 miles. Medical support will be available throughout the course.
The Prospect Park Track Club will be providing pace teams for for 1:30 - 3:30 paces.
The Official NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon Training Program will help you Win Your Race! This customized program is based on your running history, racing goals, and schedule. Lose the one-size-fits-all PDFs and let us help you get to the starting line healthy and ready to crush it.
