thousands of men and women are affected by violent crimes and oftentimes have to take the steps to heal and rebuild their life themselves. CVTC is an AMAZING organization that helps survivors of interpersonal violence heal in the forms of crisis intervention, individual and group trauma-focused therapy, legal advocacy, complementary therapy and psychiatric consultation. There are a lot of obstacles one goes through when trying to recover from the trauma of a sexual assault, violent relationships, and other forms of abuse. CVTC helps lower these obstacles for individuals and give them the resources and opportunity to take the step to reclaim their joy again. One client from CVTC stated that “I have joy and hope in my life now that I never even thought I deserved.” and being able to raise money so that more people have the chance to have hope and joy again is the reason why i'm running 13.1 miles!
