THE RACE
The United States of America turns 245 this year, and what better way to celebrate than by running at least 245 steps? (OK, we know you’ll run a lot more than that!). Governors Island was instrumental in American Independence, serving as lookout in the New York Harbor to keep Manhattan safe. You can see it’s history as you run our course, passing old military outposts, bunkers, and even a Castle!
