This spring, I'm running the Brooklyn Half Marathon (my first ever half marathon—eek!!) in support of YNYC, a community I've been part of since fall 2024. It has been an amazing place to make new friends, sing meaningful music, and build genuine community in New York City.
Founded in 2001, YNYC has grown from an upstart group of young people looking to sing together to a thriving, internationally-recognized organization. Comprising both a Mixed and a Treble Ensemble, YNYC is one of New York’s leading advocates for the creation of new music by young composers, and regularly performs world, regional, and city premieres of new works.
Your donation supports YNYC's thriving community of 130+ young adult singers, as well as concerts, composer commissions, rehearsal space, outreach work, and more—all helping us to continue using music as a tool for connection, creativity, and belonging.
