Founded in 2001, the Young New Yorkers’ Chorus (YNYC) is one of New York City’s leading choral organizations for young adults. With two auditioned ensembles, YNYC brings together passionate singers to perform innovative, high-quality choral music while supporting the next generation of composers.

YNYC is nationally recognized for its commitment to new music, with the majority of its repertoire written by living composers and a strong emphasis on amplifying underrepresented voices. Through performances, commissions, and premieres, YNYC plays an active role in shaping the future of choral music.

Beyond the concert stage, YNYC engages communities across New York City and beyond through collaborations, special events, and outreach performances—using music as a tool for connection, creativity, and belonging.
