NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon 2026
I’m supporting Young New Yorkers' Chorus.
Singing with others has always been part of my DNA. From musical theater summer camps to high school concert choirs to college a cappella groups, music has helped me build confidence, form lifelong friendships, and feel deeply connected to the people around me.
But, running? This is unchartered territory for me. And honestly, a little bit terrifying.
I’m running the Brooklyn Half Marathon for YNYC because I’ve seen for myself how music brings people together and builds real community. YNYC has given me so much joy, strength, and purpose over the years that I’m challenging myself to do something that feels impossible in return. I’m running for YNYC so it can continue its mission of musicianship, fellowship, and community throughout our city.
Please join me in raising $1,000.00 to help support YNYC and face my fear of running (13.1 continuous miles!) for the very first time. Your donation will go towards helping us commission new music, paying for rehearsal and performance spaces, recording music, and ensuring choral music is as accessible and sustainable as possible.
Thank you so much for supporting me, my choir, and the transformative power of making music together.
