Hope Ignites NY empowers young people in New York City, especially those from underserved communities, our program is the only urban boarding program in NYC providing long-term academic, emotional, and social support that helps break cycles of poverty and helps scholars realize their full potential. Rooted in Brooklyn, we create a safe and nurturing environment where scholars can thrive through mentorship, tutoring, enrichment programming, and access to higher education opportunities. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to ignite hope, expand opportunity, and prepare the next generation of leaders to succeed in college, career, and life.
Hope Ignites NY is proud to be running in the Brooklyn Half Marathon to raise critical funds for our scholars. Based in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, we are the only urban boarding program in New York City providing rigorous academic support and tuition support to a private Catholic high school. This unique model ensures that young people from underserved communities not only have a safe, stable place to live, but also access to an excellent education and the long-term mentorship that helps them thrive.
